Proposed Plan Change 15 - Buxton Gore Bay Ltd
The Hurunui District Council has accepted a request for a private plan change to the Hurunui District Plan from Buxton Gore Bay Ltd.
Proposed Private Plan Change No. 15 seeks to rezone the land within the Buxton Valley catchment to an Environment of Special Concern to be called the Buxton Valley Management Area. The proposed district plan provisions are specific to the Buxton Valley Management Area and would enable the establishment of 83 residential lots within farming, conservation, and recreation land uses.

Any person may make a submission on this Plan Change. Submissions must be in writing and in the prescribed form (Form 5) in the Resource Management (Forms) Regulations 1991 or similar. Forms are also available from the Council Offices listed above.
Submissions should be sent to Hurunui District Council, P O Box 13, Amberley 7441 or submission@hurunui.govt.nz.
The closing date for submissions was 22 August 2008 at 5.00pm.
Once all submissions have been received, the Council will prepare and publicly notify a summary of the submissions. All the submissions will be available for public inspection and anyone may make a written submission in support of, or in opposition to any of the submissions received. All submissions will then be considered and hearings will be held for anyone who wishes to speak in support of their submission.
