Mt Cass Wind Farm
FORM 12 – PUBLIC NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR A RESOURCE CONSENT UNDER SECTIONS 93(2), 94C & 127 OF THE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ACT 1991
The Hurunui District Council has received an application for resource consent as detailed below:

Type of application: Landuse
Proposed activity: Land use consent to establish and operate Mt Cass Wind Farm. Three turbine envelopes are proposed to allow flexibility for the final turbine choice.
Location: Mt Cass Wind Farm is to be situated in the vicinity of Mt Cass Ridge. Mt Cass Ridge is located approximately 5.5km south-east of Waipara and approximately 10km north-east of Amberley. Access to the site is off Mt Cass Road. A construction laydown area, situated adjacent to Mt Cass Road, is located approximately 2.0km from the Mt Cass Road, State Highway 1 and State Highway 7 intersection. The application includes upgrading a section of Mt Cass Road.
The application includes an assessment of environmental effects. The full application can be viewed at the Amberley office during normal office hours or downloaded as below. If you wish to make a submission on this application you may do so by sending a written submission to Hurunui District Council at 66 Carters Road, PO Box 13 Amberley. The submission must be on Form 13. Copies of this form are also available from the Hurunui District Council.
Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 1st August 2008.
You must serve a copy of your submission on the applicant, as soon as reasonably practicable after serving your submission on Hurunui District Council. The applicant’s address for service is:
