Proposed Three Waters Services Bylaw
The Water Supply Bylaw 2014 and the Wastewater Network Bylaw 2014 have been reviewed and the Council has indicated its intention to revoke these bylaws and replace them with the proposed Three Waters Services Bylaw, which includes sections on:
- the Water Supply Networks (On-Demand and Restricted); and
- the Wastewater Network.
The proposed Three Waters Services Bylaw also includes sections on:
- Stormwater & Land Drainage, and
- Trade Waste.
Stormwater & Land Drainage and Trade Waste are matters that the Council has not previously managed under a bylaw but it is seen as appropriate to manage the Three Waters Services comprehensively.
Proposed Three Waters Services Policy:
The Council has also developed a proposed Three Waters Services Policy to accompany the proposed bylaw. The policy addresses administrative matters and explains the Council's general approach to the provisions under the proposed bylaw.
The Council has adopted the proposed Three Waters Services Bylaw and proposed Three Waters Services Policy for consultation. Formal consultation is due to take place from February to April 2018, however if you wish to discuss or make comments before this time, please contact:
