Amberley Beach Road Water Upgrades Forge Ahead
Upgrades to the water networks along Amberley Beach Road are progressing at pace, with the project one month ahead of its scheduled completion date.
Urban growth in the Amberley area has resulted in increased flows of wastewater and extra demand on the drinking water supply. The upgrades to the network around Amberley Beach Road will help the council better manage these new demands.
Council Infrastructure Delivery Manager Dan Harris says the work has involved an extensive replacement of underground water pipes along Amberley Beach Road, with just the resealing of the road left to complete.
“This will go some way towards providing a more reliable water network for the area and in particular the residents in the subdivisions on the northern side of the Amberley township.
“I’d like to thank our Utilities Team and contractors for the speedy delivery of this project. We’re looking forward to seeing the results of this major upgrade,” says Dan.
With the project ahead of schedule, the council expects the upgrades to be fully completed in three weeks time.
