First round of feedback for the District Plan Review proves useful

The Council is currently reviewing its District Plan and has received some very useful feedback from the first round of consultation. Over the coming months there will be further opportunities for the community to have their say.

Manager Environmental Services, Judith Batchelor says that the Council appreciates the time individuals and groups have taken to provide feedback.

“The drop in sessions and public meetings were well attended and the Council is currently considering the feedback as it prepares draft provisions to take back to the community.”

Another round of consultation on the key topics of biodiversity and defining the coastal environment is expected to commence shortly. The Council will once again provide a range of meeting opportunities, static displays and website information to inform the community.
