Take care around rivers in the district
Please remember that landslide dams can change at any time. People are being urged to stay out of the water and away from these rivers for their own safety.
Conway River: People are urged to stay out of the river bed and well away from the Conway River. A dam formed by a landslide into the Towy River – a tributary to the Conway - is in imminent danger of over-topping.
Large dams in the Leader Valley (inland from SH1) are at risk of breaching. A warning is in place for risk of debris falling and people are asked to stay out of river channels and to be careful around bridges.
