Reserves Management Plan - Tarndale Park
Hurunui District Council are exploring options for the development of Tarndale Park.
This development will include: erecting new signage, upgrading the existing vehicle access track and erecting bollards to define a car park area. This proposed car park would accommodate up to 5 to 6 cars and a vehicle towing a trailer or horse float.
We would like your feedback.
There are four options to choose from:
- Option A - proposes no change i.e. no car parking would be provided on site. Instead access would be by way of the existing access links into the reserve.
- Options B, C and D - include the addition of a carpark area within Tarndale Park .
Where did the idea for a car park come from?
Council adopted the The Reserves Management Plan on 20 December 2012. The Plan outlines specific polices for each reserve. The plan for Tarndale Park (page 248) includes that vehicle access and parking is to be provided to Tarndale Park.
