Changes to the Refuse and Recycling Collection Arrangements due to Waitangi Day
Refuse Collections - on week commencing 4th February in Omihi, Scargill, Great Valley and Motunau Beach, household refuse normally collected on a Wednesday will be collected one day earlier than usual.
As collection times could differ to normal, securely tie refuse bags and place at the kerbside by 8am. Householders may put upto two refuse sacks out per week for collection, these must be normal sized and:
Not exceed 60 litres in size or 15kg in weight or contained in hessian sacks, wheelie bins, garden and drum sacks.
- Not contain garden waste, bottles, medical wastes, needles, ashes, broken glass, sharp objects or liquids.
- In rural areas, have the correct sticker applied and left at an agreed location on the collection route, where the vehicle can stop safely.
Recycling Collections – there will be no household recycling collections in Culverden, Waiau and Rotherham on the 6th February. For one week only, collections in these areas will run one day later than usual.
