Hurunui-Waiau Zone Water Committee Seeks Community Views
The Hurunui–Waiau Zone Committee is trying to develop enduring water management solutions for the Zone that satisfy the wide range of environmental, economic, cultural and social interests in the Zone, as laid out in the Canterbury Water Management Strategy.
The Zone Committee would like to meet with local communities to hear:
- What people want in terms of water management solutions for the Zone or for their community;
- What people think of possible water storage options identified.
The Zone Committee has scheduled public meetings throughout the district in late February/early March. Committee members will provide an update of progress to date and want to hear from local communities about water management issues.
