Swim for life is the first major learn-to-swim initiative in New Zealand since the 1950's.  The purpose is for every New Zealand child by the age of 12 to be able to swim 200 metres confidently and competently with associate survival skills and understand water safety messages.  Amberley Swimming Pool is registered for this programme and will promote Swim for life a key message for our young people.

The quality of pool water is continuously monitored in accordance with industry standards. Microbiological tests will occur pre-season and monthly through out the season, with the results displayed under the health and safety section of our notice board.

Health and Safety

We strive to improve our services and ask that you view the health and safety section of our notice board which will give you an insight into how the Council contributes to your health, safety and well-being at the pool and how you can assist us to maintain the levels we set.
