Significant Projects
Each year, after consultation with our community through the Annual Plan Roading process, we agree to undertake specific projects to safeguard or improve our roading infrastructure.
Hurunui Bluff Road
These projects are initially identified through feasibility studies and only proceed upon the recommendation of the council’s Works & Services Committee.
Some of the district-wide projects currently underway or recently completed include:
- Arkles Bridge remedial – Fulton Hogan
- Motunau Beach jetty extension – Heasley Fencing
- Motunau Beach embankment rehabilitation – Heasley Fencing
- Inland Road (Lulus Creek) road and river improvement – Fulton Hogan
- Argelins/Woodbank/SH7A intersection improvement – Fergusson Brothers
- Amberley School KEA crossing installation - Downer
- Hurunui Bluffs Road safety improvements – John Sheppard
