Water Faults, Leaks and Maintenance

Current Water/Wastewater Notices

Amberley Township Water Scheme - Thursday 20 September 2018 - 10am to 2pm

Affecting residents in Teviotview Place. These residents have been notified.

As the water supply may be restored at any time, please take care not to leave taps turned on. Once the water supply is restored, we advise you to run the cold tap in the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry for approximately 30 seconds each, or until an even flow is achieved. (This is to remove any air that may have entered the pipework).

This shut-down is to allow for a newly installed section of water main at the Teviot View Place and Amberley Beach Road intersection to be connected to the Council’s Water Reticulation System. Works will be carried out by EDR Contracting Ltd Sub-Contractor.

Thank you for your patience while this work is being carried out.

Please contact our office if you have any concerns

Why do we need to shut down water schemes?

From time to time, with little or no notice, a water scheme needs to be shut down for a short period of time. This occurs for a variety of reasons, for example:

Our Utilities staff work around the clock where there is a need, to ensure that a continuous flow is maintained to your property.
