Road stopping: Grassington Road (unformed portion)
Council are proposing to stop part of the unformed portion of Grassington Road in Rotherham. An unformed road is a legal road that has not been improved or shaped in a significant way (the term “paper road” is often used for unformed legal roads).
We are proposing to change land with the legal status of road to a freehold title. In this case the portion of road when stopped will be amalgamated with the title of the adjoining land. The unformed road proposed to be stopped currently contains dwellings and a farm utility building.
The stopping of this portion of Grassington Road is to enable proposed alterations to the existing dwelling.
A copy of the public notice is available here.
