Hanmer Springs Community Board
There are five elected community Board members and one councilor nominated by the full Council. Where funded by the Hanmer Springs ward amenity rate, the community board is responsible for recreation reserves, ward beautification, stormwater, footpaths, street lighting, township maintenance and public halls.
The Regulatory Committee comprises the Mayor and four Councillors. The Regulatory Committee has responsibility for the governance of; resource management, dog and stock control, health, sale of alcohol, building, litter, parking and freedom camping.
Finance Audit and Risk Committee
The Finance Audit and Risk Committee comprises the Mayor and four Councillors. The Finance Audit and Risk committee is responsible for assisting the Council in exercising due care and diligence in the governance of financial, audit and risk activities. This includes reviewing and setting policy in relation to the Council's financial activities.
The Infrastructure Committee comprises the Mayor and four Councillors. The Infrastructure Committee is responsible for governance of; roading, footpaths, water, stormwater, and sewerage.
Public Services Committee
The Public Services Committee comprises the Mayor and four Councillors. The Public Services Committee is responsible for governance of; waste management, emergency service, property, economic development, reserves, libraries, youth, grants and awards.
