Our current recycling requirements can be found here.
E-waste and televisions are accepted for recycling at all Hurunui transfer stations and needs to remain separate from the other waste and recycling being brought to the transfer station.
Green Waste Recycling
Some green waste is accepted at the transfer stations at Amberley, Cheviot and Hanmer Springs for recycling.
Hurunui Council encourages the safe disposal of hazardous substances and allows paint dropped off at its transfer stations to be taken for re-use for free.
Cleanfill is accepted at Amberley transfer station only. This must be kept separate from other waste or recycling to be charged at the cleanfill rate.
Some wastes are not accepted at Hurunui transfer stations, if in doubt, please contact the council in advance or ask the staff on site.
