Applying for a LIM
Information will be extracted from Council's existing records, no site inspection will be conducted.
Council has a statutory 10 working day period to process LIM.
Your LIM will be forwarded to you by email.
An invoice will be sent with the completed LIM. Please delay your LIM payment until your invoice is received. When processing your payment, please use either the invoice number or customer number as the payment reference so that HDC can correctly apply your payment. The HDC bank account number is on the invoice.
In order to apply for a LIM you need to supply the following information:
- Details of Applicant(s)
- Information about the property - you can search the property details here: Rates & Property Search
Note: Environment Canterbury may also have information regarding this property.
We recommend that you consider applying for a land Information Request from ECAN at the same time you are applying for you LIM.

On pressing Submit, don't be alarmed, an application called "Are you Human" will come up as a form of authorisation to prove you are not a bogus web application. After successfully completing the short game you should be presented with a Lim successfully lodged page, if not please contact Council on 03 314 8816, Thanks.
On successful completion of the LIM application you will
receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive an email then we
most likely have not received it. Please contact us as soon as possible
