New Zealand ShakeOut 2026

Sign up for New Zealand ShakeOut!

Don't wait for an earthquake to learn the right actions to take.

Last year, over 765,000 New Zealanders took part in ShakeOut, our national earthquake drill and tsunami hīkoi (evacuation walk). Hurunui District Council has signed up - have you?

This year's ShakeOut day is 21 October at 1:30pm, but you can run your ShakeOut drill at a time and date that suits you.
