Weeds are going bust in Hurunui
Back in July, the Hurunui District celebrated some of its best community serving members at the annual Community Service Awards.
For the next few weeks, Hurunui District will be highlighting the Award recipients, filling you in more on their background stories, and what makes them tick. Enjoy.
This year the Hurunui Biodiversity Trust award was received by Hurunui Weedbusters, a volunteer conservation group which is run by the Hurunui Biodiversity Trust.
The Weedbusters undertake practical projects to protect, enhance and restore native biodiversity at various sites across the Hurunui District.
This grant of $2000 will be used to purchase tools, hi viz vests, gloves, a First Aid Kit and weed gel.
