About the Community Hub
Funding: Hurunui District Council secured funding from the Department of Internal Affairs (Lotteries) to develop and equip the Community Hub Event Trailer, primarily to support youth engagement activities.
The Community Team uses the Hub at schools, community events and activities such as our summer pool parties.
Why a mobile hub?
Living rurally can create barriers for young people, including limited transport, social isolation and access to activities and services. The mobile Hub helps bring opportunities, connection and activities directly into Hurunui communities, making it easier for young people to get involved.
