Updating your dog’s registration details
If any of the following have changed please let us know by using the form below to update our records.
- Where your dog lives
- Your postal or physical address
- Your contact numbers or email address
Has your Dog passed away ?
If you dog has died, please let us update our records. You may also be able to get a partial refund or credit on your registration fees.
New to the District?
If you have recently moved to the Hurunui District and have bought your dog/s with you please let us know. This allows us to transfer your dog registration to our district.
Have your sold one or more of your registered dogs?
The current owner is to complete this form if one or more dogs have moved to a new home.
Please note, the notification of change of ownership for a dog must be by consent of both parties. Animal Management reserves the right to correct unauthorised changes that have been submitted.

Remember - if your dogs are lost, we can help return them home if they are wearing a current registration tag and are micro-chipped, but we need your contact details in the database to be up to date
